Double Move Chess

Both parties make two consecutive moves each. According to the old style of the game (= Marseilles Chess), the second part of the move was omitted if the first one offered check, and the ban on self-checking already applied in isolation to the first part of the move. According to the newer style of play - which applies here - the game is always played with double moves up to the king's capture in the second part of the move or is canceled a double move beforehand if the king's capture cannot be prevented with the next double move: checkmate! If one party cannot make both moves, they are in (fairy) stalemate.
