From the actual position, a sound correction given by M. McDowell in his article on the problems of L.S. Penrose (The Problemist, November 2001/P. 224-H):
delete WPc2 and WPe4;
move WKa1 to 'h2', WBd4 to 'e3' and BPe6 to 'e5';
add BPf5 and BSf4. (2010-01-21)
André Marchand: Another version from the actual cooked problem of L.S. Penrose:
delete BPe6 and add BSf4;
move WKa1 to "f1", WPc2 to "f2" and WPe4 to "g5".
This problem was published by B.J. da C. Andrade in the Manchester Guardian (1957) and inserted in "Andradiana" (1961), a memorial volume of his selected problems. In both cases, no mention was made of the evident forerunner by L. S. Penrose! (2010-01-24)
