A.Buchanan: In Eigenartige Schachprobleme, this one is attributed to Branko Pavlovic, Sahovski Vjesnik, 1950. Don't know if this is typo or anticipation. (2016-07-18)
Henrik Juel: In ES this one is also included, as 1.47C
The difference is the stipulation question
Pavlovic asks: First move by bishop? (2016-07-18)
A.Buchanan: So how best to represent this in PDB? It seems silly to have a separate problem for what is at best a version of a very tiny problem. There are a few other simplistic cases where a "Last Move" problem functions as a "First Move". Best maybe to keep one entry, and indicates Pavlovic's version changed the stipulation slightly. (2016-07-18)
Henrik Juel: Fine with me
The Pavlovic question is (translated from german): First move by the bishop? (i.e., Lc8)
Answer: It never moved, ha-ha (2020-04-23)
A.Buchanan: Where someone wants to change an earlier stipulation slightly to indicate a new aspect of the same solution (especially for retro records), I suggest the nomenclature "deemed stipulation". This is not part of the problem, and does not constitute a new version, but is part of whatever judgement or republication is happening. (2020-04-24)
