PR Thomas Volet: "The sole entry that did not involve the Kislyak maneuver (the attractiveness of which as a response to the tourney condition was not anticipated by the judge). This fine composition provides an interesting study in retroscreens on two axes involving a moving target. The result is a highly effective exploitation of the open file concept! Careful interplay of the active units is required throughout the retroplay. In addition, the dense matrix to the West of the Black King is much more resistant to release than might appear at first, thus extending the retroplay in an intriguing postscript."

Henrik Juel: The stipulated theme was
Orthodox retroanalysis where the diagram position has at least one open (i.e., unoccupied) file
Here the f-file is open (2015-12-04)
