Obvious promotion

It is obvious that some piece on the board is not original, due to some elementary positional aspect of the board. (E.g. with White pawns b2 & d2, there is a White bishop somewhere other than c1, or Black bishop c1).

If the issue is that there is an excess of some piece type (e.g. 3 White Knights), then use the keyword "non-standard material" instead.

Historically, the term "obtrusive" has been used, but this is pejorative, and a more neutral term is required. Like "non-standard material", an "obvious promotion" may still be regarded as a defect.
