hans: Dont understand. It has to do something with the 50 moves rule. It took me 54 moves after last pawn-move b2xBc3 (2011-12-12)
Henrik Juel: The resolution probably can be done a little faster, but these 50 moves retros are extremely tedious. (2011-12-12)
Mario Richter: This is the third attempt to correct P0001727 ( the previous attempts were P0006062 and P0006063 ).
The authors give two critical positions:
a) 3rrRRn/2pppp1P/1p4pp/p2k1N2/6N1/1Pb5/1PPPPPP1/2BQKB2 and after 1. bxc3 it requires 50 non-capturing, non-pawn moves to achieve the diagram position;
b) r3k1rn/R1pppp1P/Rp4pp/p7/KQ1BN3/1PP2N2/2PPPPP1/5B2 and the authors claim that after 1. ... 0-0-0 at least 101 single movess are necessary to reach the diagram position. (2011-12-12)
