(G. Werner). Trotz großen Materialvorteils hat Schwarz nach 1.g4+ Probleme: 1- Kh6 scheitert an 2.Dh2+ Kg6 3.D:d6# (dieses Matt zieht sich wie ein roter Faden durch die Studie). Nach 1.- Kg6 robbt sich die weiße Dame heran: 2.Db1+ Kh6 3.Dh1+ Kg6 4.De4+ Kh6 5.Dd4! Ein schöner stiller Zug, der nicht nur jegliches Gegenspiel der schwarzen Dame unterbindet, sondern auch 6.D:d6+ Dg6 7.Dh2+ nebst matt droht. Nach 5.- d5 6.De5 ist diese Drohung nicht mehr zu parieren. Es bleibt nur 5.- Dg6!, aber nach 6.Dh8+ Dh7 7.Dc3! gerät Schwarz erstmals in einen teuflischen Zugzwang. Nach 7.- Dg6 8.Dg3+ wird er matt gesetzt; ebenso nach 7.- Kg6 8.Dc2+ Kh6 9.Dh2+ Kg6 10.D:d6 matt; nach 7.- d5 8.De5 ist die Drohung 9.Dd6+ nebst Dh2# (oder umgekehrt) nicht mehr zu parieren. Es bleibt nur das traurige 7- a6. Einen direkten Gewinn hat Weiß nicht, aber mittels 8.Df6+ Dg6 9.Dh8+ Dh7 10.Dc3! wird einfach die Zugpflicht auf Schwarz abgewälzt. 10.- a5 11.Df6+ Dg6 12.Dh8+ Dh7 13.Dc3! Nochmal! 13.- a4 14.Df6+ Dg6 15.Dh8+ Dh7 16.Dc3!. Und nochmal! Da der a-Bauer bis zum Anschlag durchgelaufen ist, hat Schwarz keine Züge mehr und verliert wie in der Anmerkung nach 7.Dc3 beschrieben. Ein schönes Pendel, im typischen Stil des Komponisten.

Silvio-Baier-40-JT: Thema: Gesucht waren eindeutige orthodoxe Beweispartien mit weißer und schwarzer Homebasestellung, wobei auf jeder Seite ein Bauer umwandeln und von einer Figur (keinem Bauern) geschlagen werden sollte und zudem genau ein Stein eine zweizügige Rückkehr vollführt.

In der Originalquelle f 237 stand eine falsche Lösung. Die hier angegebene Lösung ist richtig.
