"Für drei Umwandlungen schwarzer Bauern in Damen werden neun Züge benötigt. Bisher gelang dies nur mit zu vielen schwarzen Bauern, d.h. in illegaler Stellung. Der Autor dieser Aufgabe vermeidet solche Positionen, aber die erste Umwandlung in eine Dame ist retroanalytisch begründet, offensichtlich war 1. d1=D+ der letzte schwarze Zug. Natürlich ist das nicht dasselbe, aber nach meiner Meinung verdient die Findigkeit des Autors eine spezielle Auszeichnung." (2021-04-22)

A.Buchanan: Please forgive me but I think “under-promotion” is only meaningful for directmates and studies. That’s why I had put in promotion as a keyword, not under-promotion. In helpmates, promotions need to be distinguished of course, and we can put in the officer type in the parameter slot. Under-promotion would still need such a parameter because it’s inexact itself: the worst of all worlds. Even for directmates and studies of course some people consider knight promotion not to be an under-promotion at all, but I wouldn’t go that far myself. There are far too many keywords covering promotion, and at some time we should clean them up, but in the mean time I am open to considering another opinion if it is explained to me. Thank you. Kabe Moen: Thank you for the comment and version of my problem. Your version is very nice and more economical. However, the point of my problem was not to show a regular Grimshaw, but to show a distant Grimshaw. The distant Grimshaw happens when a Rook and Bishop mutually interfere with each other on two different squares (d5 and f5 in this case). Diagonalmarsch des schwarzen Königs von Ecke zu Ecke, in Miniaturform.
Diese Idee ist natürlich nicht neu, aber laut PDB sind mehrere Merkmale neu, nämlich:
Der weiße König von g2 muss weit weg (g5) von seinem Zielfeld gehen (f2), mit doppeltem aufeinanderfolgendem Switchback, die weiße Batterie feuert ZWEIMAL und in GEGENSEITIGE Richtungen, Klasinc wK/wB (f3), Tempo vom weißen Bauer.
Sowohl der weiße Inder als auch der schwarze Durbar wurden bisher nur EINMAL gezeigt, beide in P0501643, veröffentlicht in Probleemblad.
Das Schlagen der weißen Dame im Schlüsselzug wurde zweimal gezeigt, in P0501414 und in P1364909, letzteres auch in Probleemblad - Sie sehen, dass Probleemblad bereits eine gewisse Tradition in diesem Thema hat, was für uns der letzte Grund war unser Stück nur Ihnen anzubieten! Schließlich gibt es in der PDB drei Miniaturen zu diesem Thema, P0522184, P1005185 und P1364529.
Inder, Durbar und Miniatur sind zwar nicht neu, aber all das zusammen in ein und demselben Stück ist auch neu.
