Henrik Juel: Nice tempo maneuver
The Belfort theme requires at least two odd men, but here we only have Sg1 (2022-02-07)
A.Buchanan: Thanks Henrik - this is surely the best forum in the world to discuss whether "Eine Schwalbe macht noch keinen Sommer!" The metaphor of a Belfort piece as a North-South migrated bird is lovely too. The originating tourney at Belfort, which gave its name to the theme, understandably excluded the case of a single swallow. But do we want to persist with this or generalize? I am charmed by the little birds into changing my mind on this. Eine Schwalbe macht noch keinen Sommer! Stimmt!

A.Buchanan: Terrific composition, by a new composer (2022-05-04)
Henrik Juel: Welcome back, Andrew
Yes, a very impressive proof game:
The white rooks switch places, [Pg7] goes slowly to create a Phenix, and the white king backtracks after castling
The motivations for this fine content are fairly simple, so I can only hope that it has not been done before (2022-05-04)
