Das Probespiel 1.d4+? ed e.p.? 2.Sa6 matt, aber 1...ed4! zeigt, daß die Verteidigung durch den Be5 ausgeschaltet werden muss, doch 1.Td5? Kc4 2.T:e5 usw. scheitert am Fluchtfeld d3 2...Kd3! und die vorübergehende Überdeckung von d3 mittels 1.Se6+? Kc4 2.Sf4+ natürlich an 1...T:e6! Jetzt sind alle Puzzle-Teile für den Lösungsablauf vorhanden, die nur noch richtig zusammengesetzt werden müssen: 1.Tf6! (2.Le7) L:f6 (Verstellung Th6) 2.Se6+ Kc4 3.Sf4+ Kc5 (Deckung d3) 4. Td5+ Kc4 5.T:e5+ Kd4 6.Td5 Kc4 7.Td7+ Kc5 (Beseitigung Be5 und Rückpendel des Turmes) 8.Se6+ Kc4 9.Sc7+ Kc5 – jetzt ist der Springer zurück, um auf a6 wieder drohen zu können, doch würde sofortiges 10.d4+? noch 10..L:d4! erlauben, das zuvor durch den Zwischenplan 10.Le7+ L:e7 zunichte gemacht wird und jetzt kann endlich 11.d4+ ed3 e.p. und 12.Sa6 matt kommen (4 Punkte). „Gewaltiges Pendelmanöver, um den schwarzen Bauern e5 auszuschalten und damit den En-passant-Schlag zu erzwingen; allerdings außer dem Schlüsselzug nur Schachgebote. Immerhin stimmt die logische Struktur.“ meint M.Zucker (Chemnitz), während J.Schottenhamel (Ebersbach) vollkommen zufrieden war: „Eine tolle, logisch aufgebaute Aufgabe. Mich stören bei solchen Aufgaben die vielen Schachgebote überhaupt nicht. Die Lösung solcher Probleme macht (mir) riesigen Spaß, muss man sich doch peu á peu den Gedanken des Autors nähern!“

„Eine unglaubliche Logik!“ (M.Hentschel, Graupa) wird durch die Versuche 1.K:f7? Le8+, Sd6+, Tf3! unterlegt und auch 1.b7? (2.b8D 3.Df8) dc,de 2.b8D Td8+! reicht noch nicht. Deshalb wird der deckende Turm zunächst mittels Perilenkung ausgeschaltet 1.Kf8! (2.Sg8) La3+ 2.b4 L:b4+ 3.Kg8 (4.g5) Ld2 und nun der Läufer mittels 4.b7 L:b7 gelenkt. Mit dem Manöver 5.Kf8 Lb4+ 6.c5 L:c5+ 7.Kg8 Le3 ist die Turmlinie nach f3 gesperrt worden und nach 8.K:f7 versperrt 8...Sd6+ die Linie a3-f8, weshalb nun 9.Kf8 10.Sg8 mit Mustermatt von Erfolg gekrönt ist (4 Punkte). „Zwei Perilenkungen des sLd1 hintereinander, um Linien der schwarzen Türme zu sperren, sowie Ausschaltung der schwarzen Läufer durch Lenkung ins Abseits (4.b7!) und eine weitere Liniensperre (8...Sd6+), technisch zweifellos sehr gut realisiert.“ meint V.Zipf (Erfurt)

Gegen eine Fesselung des Le6 muss Weiß die 6. Reihe geschlossen bekommen. Nach 6.Kf5 Ld8 ist fast wieder die Diagrammstellung erreicht, nun aber mit dem Lb5 auf c6 (und dem Bc5 auf d4). Der Verlust der Widerlegung 1.Sd3? L:d3+! wird durch den Gewinn der Widerlegung 7.Sd3? Ta5+! oder 7… Le4+! kompensiert. Schöne Serie von Schachprovokationen unter Beschäftigung beider schwarzer Läufer.

PR: Gegen den schnell erledigten Fehlversuch 1.Lg5? (2.Lf4 Kf6 3.e5) S:c6! verlagert Weiß das Drohmattfeld von e5 nach e4 mit Wechsel des Drohsteines. Das bedarf der Beseitigung des wBe4 und einer Springerführung nach d2 sowie der Lenkung von Bg4, um nach der neuen Verteidigung 10… Sf2 mit 12.Sf3 den finalen Angriff mit schönem Mustermatt parat zu haben. Das ist eine sehr versteckte Idee, begleitet von einem bekannten Läuferpendel-Mechanismus. Das Nebenspiel wird zwar alles kurzzügig erledigt, verwässert aber die Klarheit der Lösung. Ich habe mich aufgrund des tiefsinnigen, originellen Planes trotzdem für diese hohe Auszeichnung entschieden.
