Mirko Degenkolbe: Wenn man auf den Käfig verzichtet (der Schlüssel spielt sich ja quasi "von selbst"), kann man den Inhalt auf das Miniaturformat herunterbrechen:

In diesem weißen Minimal gibt es jetzt eine zusätzliche Verführung und ein zusätzliches Matt im Lösungsspiel.
Außerdem ist der Mattdual aus der Originalversion nicht mehr vorhanden. (2020-10-03)
Kurt Keller: Ein interessantes Problem ohne den Käfig zum Vergleich! Das Minimal enthält nicht mehr "Verführungen" als das Käfigproblem. Die einzige "Verführung" des Minimals scheitert an 6! Verteidigungszügen. Das zusätzliche Matt ist nur vierzügig. Das Ende der vollzügigen Lösung beider Probleme ist gleich. Sieht man von der Teilparade jeweils ab, gibt es keinen Mattdual. (2020-10-04)

A.Buchanan: Hi Kurt thanks for posting this - great stuff! Particularly you are showing how we can raise the bar in terms of html formatting: I will definitely follow your lead. Couple of thoughts...

It's not standard practice to have external clickable links within PDB comment, particularly where the details are replaced by "..." Although stackexchange etc support it, I'm sure they have much more stringent behind-the-scenes security-checking. No problem with having a url though!

And given that YACPDB has about 500K compositions, I don't think we need to indicate that YACPDB contains a particular composition. In the long term, maybe references can be standardized with YACPDB & WinChloe, but in the mean time, if I need to (e.g. suspicious about a diagram) it's easy to check whether a problem appears in one of the other systems. "Sometimes, the mating move is a promotion, and both D/T would mate. Similarly, sometimes D/L would both work. This is a tolerated dual under Article 13 of the Codex, because if it were not allowed, too many matrices would be invalid."
Article 13 (https://www.wfcc.ch/1999-2012/codex/):
"(2) Help-play compositions are unsound also if they are dualized, except that in the final move a promotion into different pieces having partially the same power (for example queen/rook or queen/bishop) may be tolerated [16]."

Für den Ostergruß wurde das Problem offensichtlich zu früh gebracht. Das Problem selbst ist jedoch für die Weihnachtszeit geeignet, da die beiden Kreuze auch als Weihnachtsbaum oder Kerze betrachtet werden können. (The problem was obviously brought up too early for the Easter greeting.
