Zwei antikritische Verteidigungen, in Voraus-Grimshaws mündend (Autor). MOe analysiert: "Drei einwandfrei zweckreine Räumungsopfer! Die erforderlichen Verstellungen werden durch die Nowotny-Drohung erzwungen, welche Schwarz pariert, indem er den Schnittpunkt kritisch überschreitet. Die Konstruktion ist etwas schwer, aber der Schlüssel ist ausgezeichnet." Sehr feiner Schlüssel mit schwer zu findendem Drohspiel, dazu ein knallbuntes Feuerwerk an schönen, interessanten Varianten (FS). Auch da ist die Handschrift des Meisters unverkennbar (PG). Eine starke Konstruktionsleistung [...] Wenn man hier Kritik üben möchte, dann ist es, daß die Analogie zwischen 1.- Td4/Te4 und 1.- Ld6/Le5 durch das Kurzmatt [nach 1.- Le5] etwas gestört ist. Dennoch eine bemerkenswerte Aufgabe mit prima Schlüssel (CG). Ein furioses Finale der Dreizüger-Serie! (RJB). Das Problem ist offensichtlich eine Weiterentwicklung der nebenstehenden Vergleichsaufgabe. Der Autor bedauerte nach eigenem Bekunden das Fehlen von Probespielen. Die Schwalbe-Fassung ist aufgrund ihrer logischen Untermauerung trotz massigerer Stellung sicherlich vorzuziehen (ThZ). (Lösung der Vergleichsaufgabe: 1.La4 [2.Df4+ T/L:f4 3.Se5/Td4], 1.- Td4 2.Se5+ L:e5 3.Dc2; 1.- Ld6 2.T:d4+ T:d4 3.Db5; 1.- Te4 2.Tc5+ S,B:c5 3.Dd5, 2.- K:d3 3.Lb5). 3-3,5/III endwindow PG's Dreizügerfazit: "Eine Serie deutlich über dem Durchschnitt."

Eine ziemlich seltene logische Struktur finden wir in 2896 Durch den Vorplan wird eine gute schwarze Verteidigung nicht ausgeschaltet sondern lediglich abgewertet. 1. Lc6? (2. Te4) scheitert an 1. Lc6? Txe6 aber nicht an 1. Lc6? d2? 2. Tc3 Nach 1. Te4 Kd5 2. La1 c6 3. Te3 Kc4 4. Lxc6 4. Txe6 immer noch möglich, aber wegen 5. Txe6 d2 6. Txd6 nebst Matt im 8. Zug wertlos geworden. Hingegen stellt nun 1. Te4 Kd5 2. La1 ( 3. Te5+ Kc4 4. Ld5) c6 3. Te3 Kc4 4. Lxc6 Txe6 d2 den Weißen vor neue Probleme, die dieser elegant mit 5. Tc3 Kd4 6. Th3 Kc4 7. Th4 Kd3 8. Lb5 Ke3 9. Ld4 erledigt. Die Kurzvariante 1. Te4 Kd5 2. La1 Kc6 3. Tc4 Kb6 4. Lc6 a5 5. Ld4 Ka6 6. b5 schafft noch etwas zusätzliche Denkarbeit für die Löser.

Die Mehrzüger-Abteilung von ''Schach-Aktiv'' 2006 umfasste 21 Probleme in fünf bis 18 Zügen. Ein Problem erwies sich als kein Urdruck und musste deshalb unberücksichtigt bleiben. Aber die verbliebenen 20 Mehrzüger erwiesen sich als so hochkarätig, dass der Preisrichter seine liebe Mühe hatte, eine Auswahl zu treffen.
Dabei herausgekommen ist eine hohe Auszeichnungsquote von über 50 , eine Quote, die ich bisher nur höchst selten vergeben habe und doch hätte sie leicht noch höher ausfallen können. Eine so hochkarätige Mehrzüger-Abteilung hat mir bisher kaum zur Beurteilung vorgelegen. Dabei erwies sich die noch auf Herbert Grasemann zurückgehende Praxis, Vierzüger zur Dreizüger-Abteilung zuzurechnen, als recht sinnvoll, obwohl ansonsten auch von mir kritisch beäugt. Aber Vierzüger hätten hier wohl ziemlich chancenlos konkurriert. An der Spitze der Abteilung rangieren zwei Meisterwerke eines überragenden Könners, den Herbert Grasemann schon vor über 25 Jahren in ''Schach ohne Partner für Könner'' (1982) begeistert feierte: ''Eine strahlende Nova, ein neuer Stern am Problemhimmel _''. Neu ist er zwar nicht mehr, aber er strahlt noch immer im hellsten Glanze.

Michael Herzberg: Ein hervorragendes Problem! Leitlinie für viele Pendelaufgaben, welche danach folgten, aber diese Darstellung bleibt für mich bis dato unübertroffen an Originalität.

(Bei Ansicht des Stückes hatte ich eine direkte Vision im Kopf, nämlich, wie man einen etwas anderen Hauptplan kreieren sowie auch einiges an Steinen sparen könnte und habe auf die schnelle eine Stellung gebaut, (Kein C+) welche 3 Steine weniger, als Minus aber einen etwas unschönen Schluss hat: W:Kc7,Ld7,Ld6,Sf5,Bb6,Bc5,Bd3,Bg5,Bh5,Bh3. S:Kd5,Te1,Lh6,Sa2,Sg8,Bb7,Be2,Bf7,Bf6. #18 1.Lc8? (2.Lxb7+ Ke6 3.Sd4#) 1...fxg5!

An die Eleganz der Aufgabe von Dieter Kutzborski kommt diese Konstruktion nicht heran, würde auch in meinen Augen kein autarkes Problem sein, selbst den Zusatz „ ...nach Dieter Kutzborski“ halte ich für unangebracht. Wäre der Schluss ohne das Schlagen auf c6 besser gelungen, so könnte man über eine eigene Version nachdenken, aber in diesem Schema ist das nicht darstellbar, da in einigen Abspielen der Zug wKd7 droht, deshalb musste die Idee leider gedehnt werden mit dem dazwischen ziehen eines sS nach c6 und kann nicht in 17 Zügen erledigt werden. Diese Varianten mit dem Zug auf das Feld c6 existieren bei Dieter Kutzborski bedauerlicherweise auch, denn 15...Ta6/Se7 strecken die Drohung ebenfalls auf 18 Züge nach 15.Lc8, außer der im Text angegebenen Hauptvariante mit 15...g1D, zudem gibt es dann Mattduale mit 18.Sd4#/Sg7#. Dieser Sachverhalt muss der Vollständigkeit halber leider auch erwähnt werden. So etwas ist für den Komponisten immer unschön, da auf volle Zuglänge solche nicht thematisch beabsichtigten Abspiele den Urgedanken verwässern können. Generell sollten der Fairness wegen unbedingt alle vollzügigen (Neben) Varianten immer angegeben werden in der Lösung.

Fazit meiner Gedankengänge zur Konstruktion: Das Einsparen von Material sowie die Beseitigung von einem Mattdual berechtigt nicht automatisch geistiges Eigentum eines anderen Autoren zu beanspruchen, auch wenn dieses leider heutzutage in der Praxis von einigen Komponisten gehandhabt und so ohne große Anstrengung ein neues eigenes Problem kreiert wird. Die Veränderungen meiner Stellung gegenüber dem Problem von Dieter Kutzborski sind m. E. zu gering um eine eigene Version zu rechtfertigen, würden das Stück „verschlimmbessern“. Zug durchdringt. Dabei erfolgt die Ablenkung des letztlich ''fehlenden'' schwarzen Verteidigers (Sh7) bereits im 1. Zug. Das ''provokante'' Auftreten des wK setzt dem tollen Stück weitere Glanzlichter auf (WS). Bei Weiß bewirken König, Läufer und Bauer die notwendigen schädlichen Lenkungen des schwarzen Läufers. Erst am Ende greift ein weißer Springer ein und zaubert ein Mustermatt (PH). Nach dem ersten Zug hat Weiß sein Vorplanziel bereits erreicht - dann aber braucht er ein hochklassiges Manöver mit spannender Königswanderung, um den wL wieder zurück zu bekommen. Ein krönendes Mustermatt zum Abschluss, bravo (ATü)!

Überraschend wird dann aber der wBg2 zum ''Königsmörder'' (JB)! Feinsinnige Demonstration logischer Problemkunst mit nur 12 Steinen.
Gewiss ist der Sb6 verdächtig, Schlüssel und Drohspiel lassen diesen kleinen Makel jedoch bald vergessen. Ein typischer Kutzborski und eines genauen Studiums wert (WS).

Das Finale ist - in Anbetracht des geringen Materials - überraschend und rundet das logische Geschehen in beeindruckender Weise ab. Typisch Kutzborski und ein würdiger Abschluss der abwechslungsreichen Serie (WS)! Ein schwer zu durchschauender Langzüger. Wenn man aber erst mal die Alternativen erkannt hat, wird die Mattführung mit dreimaligem Zugzwang für den sB, der schließlich seinen Turm blockiert, klarer. Eine gelungene Konstruktion (JB)! Ein absolutes Lehrstück in puncto Ökonomie: Da steht fast nichts auf dem Brett, und noch die spärlichsten Mittel genügen, dem sT die Felder zu nehmen (U. Karbowiak).
Fernblock als Produkt wiederholten schwarzen Zugzwangs. Die Sparsamkeit der eingesetzten Kräfte ist bewundernswert.

Der engagierte weiße König erkämpft die Nowotny-Nutzung auf b6 (PH). Glänzend erdacht und phantastisch umgesetzt - ein Juwel neudeutscher Problemkunst (WS)! Wer glaubt denn am Anfang an eine so komplizierte Königswanderung zum schützenden Feld g5 (MN)? Der wK muss aus der 7. und 6. Reihe verschwinden, um Schachgebote bei schwarzer Verteidigung zu vermeiden. Das gelingt nur über Umwege, führt aber letztendlich zum Erfolg. Wieder ein hochklassiges Kutzborski-Problem (JB).
Weiträumige Evakuierung des wK als Nowotny-Vorbereitung unter Zuhilfenahme eines wD-Pendels. Spannender Stoff in einfallsreicher Umsetzung.

Zunächst drei Fehlversuche: 1. Sb5? c5! 1. Se4? h1=S! 1. Sd1? De6! Der Schlüssel 1. Se2! (droht 2. Sd4/Sxg3) provoziert das Gegenschach Le5+ mit der weiteren Abwicklung 2. Ka3 Lxd6+ 3. Kb2 Le5+ 4. Sc3 Lg3 5. Sb5 c5 6. Sxe7+ Ke5/Kf4 7. Sg6+ Kf5 8. Sd6+ Lxd6 9. g4#. Eine hochwertige Aufgabe mit beeindruckender Freilegung des Feldes d6 (PH). Das Feld d6 ist doppelt angegriffen und zusätzlich noch besetzt. Trotzdem wird gerade dieses Feld Schwarz zum Verhängnis, nachdem Weiß dort zweckrein das eigene Material beseitigen lässt. Das war unter anderem auch deshalb schwierig, weil auch eine Holst-Umwandlung auf h1 im Bereich des Möglichen lag. Sehr schöne Auswahl an weißen Springerzügen, hat mir außerordentlich gut gefallen (SHL). Das wunderschöne Finale krönt eine logische Aufgabe mit heiterer Note (WS)!

Nach 5.Tc2 Tb1 ist der weiße Turm wieder in Sicherheit und das Rückpendel 6.Sg2 Da7 7.Sh4 Db7 8.Sf5 Db6,Da7 ermöglicht jetzt 9.g4 (10.Sg3) h4 10.Sh4 Dc6 11.Sf5 Dd5/Dc2 12.Se3/Sg3 matt (4 Punkte). „Der weiße Turm dirigiert die schwarze Dame in eine hoffnungslose Lage.“ (W.Wittig, Chemnitz), denn diese muß in sogenannter „Brennpunktstellung“ immer die beiden potentiellen Mattfelder b4 und f4 im Auge behalten und kann dadurch den Turm nicht schlagen. Der Versuch 1.Sb5? (2.Sb4) scheitert wegen dem Fluchtfeld c3 noch an 1...D:b5,Kc2! Deshalb ist ein „Turmpendel zwecks Blockung des Feldes c2“ (J.Schottenhamel, Ebersbach) notwendig: 1.Tc7! (2.S:f4) Df8 2.Te7 (3.Sb4)Db8 3.Te1, denn nun bleibt wegen der Drohung 4.Td1 nur 3...c2. Jetzt ist aber c3 entblockt und die latente Drohung 2.Sb4/Sf4 wäre aufgehoben, weshalb erst 4.Te2 (5.Td2) c3 und dann das Rückpendel 5.Te5 Df8 6.Te7 Db8 7.Tc7 Df8 8.Tc5 Db8 kommt, bevor der Hauptplan 9.Sb5 (10.Sb4) D:b5 10.Sf4 matt erfolgreich ist (4 Punkte) „Eine interessant ausgeklügelte Zugfolge, da lacht das Löserherz.“ (M.Ullmann, Chemnitz) und für M.Hentschel (Pirna) war das „Große Problemkunst, phänomenale Logik, alles zusammen unter dem Titel: Der Tanz des weißen Turmes.“

Eine „erstaunliche Leistung der zwei weißen Springer“ (N.Hallmann, Pirna) werden in diesem logischen Mehrzüger geboten, denn „Wer denkt am Anfang an ein Matt auf h1?“ (J.Schottenhamel, Ebersbach). Der Versuch 1.S3h5? (2.Sg7) geht nicht, weil der König über f5 und später nach d2 flüchten kann. Deshalb wird mit 1.Se8! (2.Sc7) La5 2.Sg7+ Kd5 3.S7h5 (4.Sf4) Ld2 4.Sf6+ Ke6 ein Block auf d2 geschaffen. Der schnellere Weg für den Block durch 1.S6h5? Ld2! scheitert, weil der Sh5 dann nicht mehr mit Tempo unter Beibehaltung des Blockes zurückpendeln kann: 2.Sg7+ Kd5 3.Se8 La5 4.Sf6+ Ke6. Im Hauptplan 5.S3h5 (6.Sg7) Kf5 6.Sg7+ Kf4 7.e6+ Ke3 merkt man jetzt die Vorplanbegründung, denn auf 8.Sf5+ bleibt nur 8...Kf2 9.Sg4+ Kg1 10.Lh2+ Kh1 11.Sg3 matt (4 Punkte) Mit seinem Kommentar „Zunächst muss der Weidezaun auf d2 geflickt werden, ehe der rasante Almabtrieb hinunter in den Stall h1 erfolgen kann, feines Lenk-Pendeln, witziges Spiel!“ fasst V.Zipf (Erfurt) zusammen.

Eine feine Aufgabe mit lebhaftem Pendelspiel aller drei weißen Akteure in schöner Stellung. Der Autor notiert als Probespiel 1.Td4? Td7 (2.Ld8??) und will damit wohl sagen, dass die Führung des wL nach f4 schnittpunktschaffenden Charakter hat, also ähnlich wie eine kritische Lenkung des sT von d7 nach d9 wirkt.
