shankar ram: Series Draw in 4 moves (Draw by repetition rule not applicable)! (2023-04-08)
A.Buchanan: Thanks Shankar, I could translate the stipulation. But now the penny has dropped that it means reach a drawing position, not a draw. But normally after ser-goal in n moves, it is formally Black to move. E.g. ser-# in n, or ser-= in n. But here, the rule is broken: it's White to move to sneak a 5th move in. After 4. c6 with Black to move as usual, there is 4. ... Qh3+/Qh7+. So I think it should be ser-draw in 5. I will mark it as a study as well as fairies. (2023-04-08)

Turton im Hilfsmatt, da bist du platt (HM).
Turmdoppel - "`Geh' Du voran"' nach "`Schwabenart"'! (HJS).
Darstellung. Wir freuen uns schon darauf
(Elmar Bartel, Erich Bartel).;
Erich Bartel: Bakcsi siehe P0500201 (2010-08-01)
Viktoras Paliulionis: In the problem of Bakcsi (P0500201), another type of doubling is shown - Brunner-Zepler. (2021-02-11)

Aufgabe wenig Bedeutung, denn nach o.a.

Asymmetry, but not very striking because of the proximity to the a-line
Still a very nice problem, which is solvable by hand (2021-02-07)
A.Buchanan: Nice to have an empty board for the nightriders to canter around in unblocked. That they are line pieces makes the uniqueness of the solution even more impressive. Someone must have already done tablebase for this endgame (2021-02-08)

Henrik Juel: Amazing what can be achieved with these three conditions
If the solution is changed to the PDB standard (1. a2-a4 with a space, 5. a7-a8=S, etc.), it could be displayed (if Gerd has included the conditions) (2021-03-20)
Henrik Juel: Andrew, your definition of Alphabetic Chess here is as in the Schwalbe Märchenlexikon
But both omit explicitely telling us what to do, if the 'first' man cannot move: then you check the 'second' one, etc.
By the way, I really like the sample game in your definition of Annan Chess here (2021-03-20)
James Malcom: The solution is now animated, but I'm pretty sure I messed something up. (2021-03-20)

Apparently, Popeye permits black king to be captured, presumably by its Madrasi RI definition and/or the == stipulation
But Gerd does not agree, so the animation does not work
I do not like to see a capture of a king, myself, apart from within conditions that clearly define kings to be non-royal, like Schlagschach (2021-03-22)
