Bei allem Respekt vor dem respekteinflößenden Autor: Ich habe nicht viel Freude (mehr) an Solchem!" (HHS) Autor M3 hat leider einen Hang zu etwas chaotischen Drohungen und ebensolches Nebenspiel. Hat man jedoch erstmal die thematisch relevanten Varianten herausgefiltert, dann kann man wohl nur noch begeistert sein: "Eine ganz starke Konzeption, für die sich die Löserqualen gelohnt haben." (CG) "Der wS umkreist den sK mit Schachgeboten, bis diesem die Luft ausgeht. Ein prächtiges Platzwechselmärchen mit logischem Touch!" (RJB) "Ein verwirrender Rundtanz mit eigenartigen Holzhausen-Effekten!" (MS) "Wunderschön: Türme schlagen darf er nicht, aber wenn er sich von ihnen schlagen lässt, zudem noch auf denselben Feldern, dann geht's!... Der Rest ist recht verwirrlich, aber kaum interessant." (M. Tribowski). Wichtig zur Themaerkennung sind die beiden Probespiele 1.c4? (droht 2.L:f5+ , A T:f5) Sc5! , x und 1.Dh3? (droht 2.T:f4+ , B L:f4) Sd2! , y. Nach dem Schlüssel 1.Df1! droht sowohl 2.De2+ Le3 3.D:c2+ d3 4.T:f4+ L:f4# als auch 2.c4 Sc5 3.Dd3+ S:d3 4.L:f5+ T:f5#. Diese Drohungen werden durch 1.- Tb8 und 1.- L:b2 eindeutig differenziert. Dennoch ist das Drohspiel nicht überzeugend und nach 2.De2+ Le3 3.Dc4 dualistisch. Da 1.- S beliebig 2.c4(Dc4) nebst 3.L:f5+ T:f5# nicht ausreichend verteidigt, folgt als fortgesetzte Verteidigung 1.- Sc5 , x 2.L:f5+ , A (2.c4? S:e6+!) Kd5 3.Dc4+ K:c4 4.Le6+ S:e6# und 1.- Sd2 , y 2.T:f4+ , B (2.c4? S:f3+!) Hinzu kommt als Nebenvariante: 1.- d3 2.c4 Sd4 3.L:d4 nebst 4.L:f5+ T:f5# bzw. 2.- Sc5 3.D:d3+ S:d3 4.L:f5+ T:f5# In den beiden Hauptvarianten " kann Weiß die Verstellung durch den sSpringer als Halbbatterieaufbau nutzen. Im folgenden räumt sehr einheitlich einer der wThemasteine fluchtfeldgebend den sB aus der jeweiligen Batterielinie, um nach dem D-Intermezzo " (MR) mittels Switchback (=Rückkehr im 4. Zuge) das tödliche Doppelschach zu erzwingen. Die Aufgabe fand allseits Anerkennung, z.B.: " Das war nicht leicht zu sehen " (HM), " die Tiefe der Konzeption macht diese komplexe Aufgabe ... trotz des etwas diffusen Drohspiels zum heftbesten Selbstmatt " (MR). Somit weicht W. auf einen Vorplan aus, dem sich aber noch der sBf7 entgegenstellt, so dass dieser erst noch zuvor mittels eines weiteren Vorplans beseitigt werden muss.
Dabei erweist sich der w Läufer d8 als hinderliche Masse , die weg muss.. Hier wäre das Feld a5 ein guter Platz, denn für das Mattfeld muss b6 auch dann noch gedeckt sein, wenn der w. König inzwischen nach c8 gewandert ist. Aber
1. La5? ist viel zu langsam mit seiner Drohung. Also.
