'DAZ'-Lösungsanalyse: "Den starken Drohungen des Schw. (Dxe8, Tb3-a3,h2-h1=D) kann Wß. nur durch starke Mattdrohungen begegnen. Als solche ergibt sich 1. Sd4-f5, was 2. Da1-h1+ und 2. Da1-a6 (--c6 oder b7) droht. Die stärkste Erwiderung ist natürlich Dh8xa1, worauf Sd7-f6 matt folgen könnte, wenn die D von der Deckung des Feldes f6 abgesperrt werden könnte. Das erreicht aber Wß. durch 2. c2-c4+, worauf Schw. b4xc3ep spielen muß und Sd7-f6 matt setzt. Nun hat Schw. gegen 2. Dh1+ auch die Verteidigung La7-g1, was auch die Fortsetzung 2. Da1-a6 (wegen Dh8-a1) ausschließt. Dann schließt aber Wß. durch 2. e2-e4+ f4xe3ep die L-Schräge und Sd7 gibt auf b6 matt. Nicht minder fesselnd gestaltet sich das Spiel, wenn Bd3 von einem T geschlagen wird: 1. ... Tb3xd3 2. c2-c4+ b4xc3ep 3. Da1-a2 matt und 1. ... Th3-d3 2. e2-e4+ f4xe3ep 3. Da1-h1 matt. In diesem Fall wird durch das erzwungene Kreuzen ['DAZ'-Sprechweise für "en passant-Schlagen"] der betr. T verhindert, zwischenzusetzen. Die Aufgabe, die also mittels des Kreuzens einmal die Sperrung zweier Schrägen, das anderemal die Sperrung einer seitlichen Turmreihe durchsetzt, ist ein Meisterwerk ersten Ranges."
