Vaclav Kotesovec: A year ago I tried to solve this problem with Gustav 4.2a, but after 8 days I had to stop testing, the estimated time was into the thousands of hours. Now, with the new version 4.2c (thank you, Olaf!) I was able to use the entire 384 GB memory on my computer and after more than 117 hours was possible the full test of this problem. It is correct! Fantastic result at the limit of current computing and software capabilities! (2023-02-14)

Diagonalspiralspringer: Zieht und wirkt auf "Spiralen", die jedoch - im Gegensatz zum Spiralspringer - um Diagonalen statt um Orthogonalen "gewickelt" sind, und zwar "eng", z.B. b1-a3-c2-b4-d3- ... -f8-h7 oder b1-c3-a2, oder "weit", z.B. b1-c3-e4-f6-h7 oder b1-d2-e4-g5-h7. Ein Diagonalspiralspringer bietet also von b1 aus einem gegnerischen König auf h7 auf drei verschiedenen Wegen Schach, wenn die genannten Zwischenstationen leer stehen. Die Verallgemeinerung ist der m:n-Diagonalspiralreiter. (2024-02-12)
