Frank Müller: Kevin: Alle Komponisten akzeptieren bei Circe Equipollents die Popeye-Regel. Es gibt in Circe Equipollents viele Probleme mit dem unbeweglichen Bauern auf der Grundreihe. Ich kenne aber kein Problem nach der WinCloe-Regel. Wo wurde je publiziert, das in Circe Equipollents ein Bauer auf der Grundreihe ziehen kann. Ich meine nirgends. Wieso soll das dann die Grundregel sein?? Beispielsweise in Platzwechselcirce ist der Bauer auf der Grundreihe auch unbeweglich.
Regeln werden nicht von den Programmieren erstellt, sondern von den Komponisten und ihren Problemen. Andernfalls führt jeder Fehler in einem Programm zu einer neuen Regel? (2011-01-18, hidden)
Kevin Begley: Frank: it is not a matter of what I want - I want only universal, and consistent rules! -, nor is it a matter of favoring any program. Circa 2001, a member of popeye's team conceded that their implementation of this condition was probably incorrect (both for en passant rebirths, and using dummies as pawns on the 1st rank).
The first problem to my show pawns on the 1st rank in this condition is: PROBID='P1004036' (April, 2001). If you can provide the original rules, or an earlier example, please do so. If this exception was not specified in the original rules (as it was with PWC - which was not intended to be a circe form!), it should follow circe convention (as it does in Circe Parrain, Circe Cage, and virtually all other forms where pawns are reborn on the 1st). Rules are created by the fairy inventor - not the composer, not the programmer - and adopted by the larger community. Arnold Beine: Hier stimmt etwas nicht, obwohl Stellung und Lösung mit der Originalveröffentlichung übereinstimmen. Der Zug 3.Db4 muss falsch sein, denn dann kann 23.Lb4 nicht gespielt werden. Stattdessen 23.Lg7 zu spielen macht auch keinen Sinn, denn dann wäre die wDb4 am Ende nicht am geforderten fünffachen Schachgebot beteiligt. Stattdessen 3.Dd4 usw. zu spielen würde am Ende zwar eine fünffache Bedrohung des sK bedeuten, wäre aber auch Matt, was der Forderung widerspräche. (2022-10-20)

Die Forderung müsste dann "ser-#26 durch Fünffachschach" heißen, und am Ende der Lösung müsste "26.Lxd2# durch Fünffachschach" stehen.
Ich zweifle, ob das im Sinne des Autors gewesen wäre, denn die Aufgabe wurde gemeinsam mit neun weiteren Aufgaben von ihm auf Seite 253 der PK 178 veröffentlicht - alle mit unterschiedlichen Mehrfachschach-Forderungen, wie man auch in den jeweiligen Lösungen erkennen kann.
Mit der Forderung "ser-#" (ohne Einschränkung) wäre die Aufgabe bereits in 2 Zügen lösbar: 1.Dd7 2.Te4#. (2022-10-21)

Richter Hans Gruber: Zwar die konventionelle Umwandlungsverteilung, die scheinbar vorgegebenen gewohnten Bahnen werden aber geschickt vermieden: schön, daß eine weiße Umwandlung im Vorschaltzug und eine im Mattzug erfolgt. Arnold Beine: Dass hier gleichzeitig NL und C+ reklamiert wird, löst sich recht leicht auf; es ist vielen Märchenschächern aber immer noch nicht bewusst. Popeye und Winchloe benutzen eine unterschiedliche Sichtweise des Begriff s "Beobachten". Während bei Popeye eine Beobachtung vorliegt, wenn ein Stein unabhängig irgendwelcher Märchenbedingungen gemäß seiner Gangart ein Feld erreichen kann, liegt bei Winchloe eine Beobachtung nur vor, wenn ein Stein unter den gegebenen Bedingungen einen Stein auf dem beobachteten Feld auch schlagen kann. Die Aufgabe ist C+ laut Winchloe, weil in der Lösung - wie von Autor angemerkt - in der Pattstellung Weiß keinen legalen Zug mehr hat. Wenn der wTa1 nach b1 zieht, kann der wSe5 den sSf3 wegen Anticirce nicht mehr schlagen, dieser ist also nicht mehr beobachtet und gibt dadurch dem wK ein Schach. Entsprechendes gilt, wenn der wT nach c1 (illegales Selbstschach durch den sLc3, der nicht mehr angegriffen/beobachtet ist) oder d1 (dann illegales Selbstschach durch die sD) zieht. Entsprechend darf Weiß auch nicht mehr rochieren, weil bei der Ausführung das Feld d1 von der sD bedroht ist.
Mit dieser Betrachtungsweise sind die angegebenen NL natürlich keine, weil in den Endstellungen der angeblichen NL der wLb4 nicht angegriffen ist (f8 ist jeweils besetzt) und noch ziehen kann - und somit kein Patt vorliegt.
Hier jetzt zu urteilen, welche Betrachtungsweise richtig oder falsch sei, ist ebenso unsinnig wie bei Anticirce zu entscheiden, welcher Typ - Calvet oder Cheylan - der richtige sei. Letztlich ist es bei dieser Aufgabe lediglich eine Frage, welcher der beiden Märchenbedingungen der Autor die Priorität einräumen will. Hier (und bei Winchloe) hat Anticirce die Priorität vor Madrasi, bei Popeye ist es umgekehrt. Den gleichen Prioritätskonflikt gibt es auch bei der Kombination von Circe und take&make. Bei Winchloe hat Circe die Priorität vor take&make und bei Popeye ist es umgekehrt. Bei vielen Aufgaben kommt es gar nicht darauf an, welche Bedingung die Priorität hat (ähnlich wie bei vielen Anticirce-Aufgaben der Typ weggelassen wird, wenn er unwichtig ist), aber Irritationen gibt es immer dann, wenn die Priorität wichtig ist und nicht kenntlich gemacht wird.
Ich habe die Aufgabe auf "C+" gesetzt und die Priorität kenntlich gemacht, so wie Hartmut Laue es vor vielen Jahren bei take&make-Circe bzw. Circe-take&make getan hat (die erstgenannte hat jeweils die Priorität). (2022-10-23)
