in der 'Welt am Abend (Essen)' eingebettet in eine Geschichte "Eine Schachpartie aus dem Jahre 1492", in der Königin Isabella ihrem Gemahl König Ferdinand V. von Kastilien den Rat gibt, seine Türme zu opfern, was letztlich dazu führt, daß der König aufgrund der Erkenntnis, das Großes nur durch große Opfer erreicht werden kann, Kolumbus, der um Unterstützung gebeten hatte, seine Expedition finanzierte. [Erinnert von der Machart her natürlich an das bekannte Dilaram-Matt P1268300.]
